What a Day!
On my schedule, Wednesday is the day I had planned to return to normal life. It was far from normal! We were in for a big freeze ( 20 degrees is not normal for the Florida coast, so we were in preparedness mode).
I decided to make everyone cereal for breakfast. School started an hour late and I only got one load of laundry finished. I did manage to get dishes washed though. I had planned to start 'working' again, but didn't have the time. We have an outdoor cat that we had to bring in and give a bath. I also had to set up the big cage for her to sleep in. Then when my husband got home from work ( a windy 35 degrees) we went into the garden and covered all our fruit and vegetable trees with sheets. Let me just say, orange trees are not real bendable. We have a 7 foot orange tree that supplies our winter OJ, and we wanted to cover it. It took 7 sheets, about 25 clips, and several not so Christian words to keep it secure. We also set up a heater by the base to keep it warm. Our blueberries, tomatoes, and onions were quick to cover, and we decided to bring the strawberry pots inside. So, by dinner time, I did not want to cook! I opened some cans of chicken soup and we ate about 7pm.
I have learned that some days it's ok to go off course! I will just pick myself up the next day and move forward!
