Great Church Service

We had a great service at Church this morning. Let me start over...they are all great, but this one was in the top 10! The sermon was about defeating temptation. We discussed James 1:12-18 from the Bible.

We all have temptation. For some it is major. It may be drugs, alcohol, or infidelity. For others it may be food, lies, or to do things you are not supposed to do.

I am tempted almost every morning to sleep in. My mind runs through a whole list of why I should. And then I remind myself that God gave me a husband, son, house, and pets to take care of. Wow...he trusted me to care for all of this! He must really believe in me! I also remind myself, that the devil will try to tempt me into giving up.

James 1:17 says......

Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning.

I am reminded of all the good gifts God has given me, and that is what helps me get up in the morning!!
