The Simple Womans Daybook
FOR TODAY August 4, 2008...
Outside My Window...the sky is turning blue
I am thinking... of what I can pick in the veggie garden today
I am thankful for... all the things God has given me
From the kitchen... I smell coffee brewing
I am wearing... my pajamas
I am creating... my daily to do list
I am going... to pick up my profits from the kid's sale today ($71!!)
I am reading... Cesar's Way by Cesar Millan
I am hoping... that I can get some work done in the veggie garden today
I am hearing... the dogs eat their breakfast
Around the house... everyone is still asleep
One of my favorite things... standing in my backyard watching night turn to day
A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: home school, house work, yard work, and a movie

Hope you have a happy, holy week! Did those veggies come from your garden?

Have a great day!
My Daybook
Chrissy,
These are absolutely from our garden! I picked those about 2 weeks ago. We grow a lot of our own fruits and veggies. We have blueberries, strawberries, cucumbers, tomatos, yellow squash, oranges, chives, oregeno, green onions, and we just planted a tangelo tree. All of this on 1/10 of an acre!! Not a lot of space, but we make it fit!
Thanks for your comment!

Hi,
I came over from Peggy's and wanted to say Hi. I read a couple of your posts because I just had to meet the dogs.
They are all so cute and such good buddies it appears.
And thosse veggies from your garden wow. Please send some of that rain you have to Texas. We need it!
Have a great day and come by and visit my journey. On Sat. my dog is the guest writer. You might enjoy!
Nothing like fresh tomatoes from the garden. Mmmm.
myjourneyback,
Thank you for your post! I love the pictures of the dogs on your blog. Dogs just add a certain something to the family. They are a part of it, not an extension. I read that you have a cat named Miss Kitty. I DO TOO!!! We call her K for short. She is 13 years old and is very shy of the camera. She is a brown tabby I rescued when she was a wee little kitten.
PS..you can have all the rain you want! It seems never ending here!
Have a wonderful day!
Melinda
thia,
I know what you mean. I can never go back to a store bought tomato! I just wouldn't eat them unless they were fresh off the vine. I'm spoiled!!
Have a great day!
Melinda
It's lovely to meet you through your blog and Daybook! We too are enjoying home grown 'maters - nothing like them!
