The Simple Womans Daybook

FOR TODAY August 18, 2008...

Outside My Window...the sky is slowly turning blue

I am thinking... about the storm that is coming my way over the next few days

I am thankful for... all the things God has given me

From the kitchen... I smell coffee brewing

I am wearing...jeans and sweatshirt

I am creating... some new Sunday school bags for my 2 year old class

I am going... to start putting things away in my yard ie: lawn chairs, flag, gardening tools

I am reading... Books That Build Character by William Kilpatrick

I am hoping... The storm does not turn into a hurricane, and that is doesn't come near my house!

I am hearing... the storm report on the Weather Channel

Around the house... I see dog toys scattered around

One of my favorite things... is my puppy sleeping with me

A Few Plans For The Rest Of The Week: home school, house work, possibly leaving my house if the storm turns into a hurricane

Here is a picture thought I am sharing...

You must live near me. My whole Daybook post today revolved around the coming storm. We are smack in it's projected path.

You're in my prayers! I lived in Jacksonville for many years and remember the hurricane and tropical storm warnings quite well. May God bless and protect you!

I know the prediction is scary but maybe it will only bring much needed rain. god is in charge and He knows best. Father knows best, I like that!
I pray you and others in the path remain safe.
