Flu Shots

My son and I went and got our flu shots yesterday. We didn't get them last year, and I wasn't sure we would this year either, but I have been hearing news of the flu going around.

My son did very well. This summer when he had his yearly checkup, they gave him a shot and the nurse and I both had to hold him down for it. I was quite nervous this time so I brought my mom for extra strength! She, like the wise grandmother she is, brought her Game Boy to distract him. It worked!! He cringed a little, but didn't squirm or try to fight the nurse.

As a treat for being so good, I took him to McDonald's for a hot fudge Sunday! He deserved it!!
