Happy Birthday to......Me!!

Today is my birthday and we are in the middle of Tropical Storm Fay with no electricity! YAAAY!!!

I spent the morning in gray sunlight with my son. We colored, read some books, and played with the dogs. I found out that my parents street is flooded from Fay, and there is no way into their neighborhood. So....my son will not be spending the night, and I will not be seeing a movie.

I can't complain though. Here's why.

I am thankful...

For Jesus giving his life for my sin, so I can have everlasting life

For my wonderful husband who has stayed with me for 8 long years

For my son, who besides Jesus, is the most precious gift I have ever been given

For my dogs who protect me and give me much needed love

For the roof over my head keeping me out of this horrible rain

For food on my table to keep this body alive

For my health, I thank the good Lord I am healthy

For my family who loves me without condition

For my friends who will drop everything to help me when I call

For my Church who has always lifted me up

And last but not least

For God, who has given me all of this!
